The school has given us the okay to travel for our winter break, and after much consideration Nick and I have decided to take a little trip...to THAILAND!!!! The above pictures are of Pattaya, Thailand. We have a friend who has a home there and he is letting us and a few of the other teachers from work stay there over Christmas break. We are very excited to get to travel a little bit! Pattaya is one and a half hours south of Bangkok, right on the ocean. The house is built around a private pool in a gated community; it is a five minute walk to the beach from the house. Thailand in December/January is warm and dry, we are expecting high 80s and low 90 degree weather the entire week we are there. We can't wait!! We want to check out the Thai jungles, the floating markets, ride an elephant, and see the Sanctuary of Truth and 60 foot tall Buddha statue Pattaya has. It will be the most welcome vacation. We leave on Christmas day and return after New Year's. 72 days until our exotic vacation!
