A Quiet Weekend for Once...

This weekend we were more than a little exhausted and feeling lazy, so we did not have our usual Sunday caper. Saturday we went to Itaewon with our friends and had fantastic burgers...I know it doesn't sound like anything special, but you go without a burger for three months. When you finally have one, especially a good one, it is a very rewarding experience. We had giant burgers on whole wheat buns with a fried egg and bacon and cheese.

Today we went up to Ilsan and had lunch in Western Dom. We tried a new place, a Vietnamese restaurant. It turned out to be delicious (as we have come to expect from all our restaurants, haha). We had fried pho noodles with chicken and shrimp smothered in onions and oyster sauce. We also had a super spicy ground pork and rice dish which cleared our sinuses and made our mouths burn in the most satisfying way. They also served a nice hot tea with our food that came in cool little glass and steel teacups.

The past week at school was a very busy one and I have a feeling it will be another busy week ahead of us. We are having open classes this month where the parents of our prekinder and kindergarten kids come in and watch us teach their children. Then we get to meet with the parents and talk to them about how their kids are doing and get feedback. Grades are due again soon and monthly tests are coming up quickly. While it is nice that the weeks go by so fast, it is exhausting and this weekend we took the much needed time to just veg out. Don't worry, next weekend we will be back to adventuring. :)
