MUDFEST!

What a weekend!

This was our last full weekend in Korea, and we decided to do something wild and fun. We took a bus with our friends three hours south to Boryeong to go to Mudfest Festival which occurs right on the beach. Unfortunately, it monsoon-ed on us....but we were playing in the mud, so we didn't really care! We had a blast going down the variety of mud slides and slipping through the variety of obstacle courses. Nick loved the mud wrestling pits, and spent the bulk of the time throwing people face down into the mud, only to get thrown into the mud himself. By the end of the day, a rinse in the ocean was in order.

After some fair food for dinner and a real shower back at our hotel room, our group of friends went out to a Norebang place. Norebang is the Korean version of karaoke. We had a great time singing songs and laughing with our friends.

This morning we got took a great walk on the beach with Sean, searching for shells and soaking our feet in the surf. I found an octopus! It was small and purple and attacking a shell. We gave it to some girls playing on the beach, much to their delight. Then we went to the train station and took a train back through the Korean countryside until we finally got back home. Some serious personal cleansing and dinner at our favorite place with the new teachers who will replace us was in order and now...sleeeeep. Please, I need sleeeep. And I know this week is going to be so busy and hectic since it is our last week that we most likely won't get any. Ugh.
