Engrish in Itaewon

Today we went to Itaewon, which is a very popular district right near the American military base. There are a million shops but they are definitely geared towards tourists...lots of "Engrish" or failed attempts at English. We ate lunch with John, our recruiter and he gave us a great package of books on what to do in Seoul, beginner Korean workbooks, reusable subway cards, etc. We were very happy to finally meet him in person, he has helped us through so much of the process of getting over here and now that we are finally here it was nice to celebrate a little. He showed us a decent Indian restaurant and we stuffed ourselves on the buffet. We missed Indian food...hopefully we'll be able to make a trip over to India and try REAL Indian food next summer. We had a lot of fun walking around and window shopping, there were many little stores that amused us greatly.

Now we are just relaxing in the apartment (it was HOT today and we have sweet wonderful air conditioning) and trying to figure out what we'll be doing for dinner.
