Hoolala Chicken House and Kabobs

We found a really good chicken house when wandering around town named HOOLALA. We were infinitely amused with the blue neon lights, the comical ads for their chicken everywhere, and the comfy black and gold sofas. We had some delectable and super spicy baked chicken smothered in sauce...and this time the sides were a tasty corn salad, radishes, and whole plum tomatoes. I was actually really happy to see the tomatoes, we haven't really had a single one since we've been here. Also, as an added bonus, when Nick handed over the money to the waiter and said "kamsahamnida" (or thank you) the man looked, blinked, smiled and blurted out "I love you" in English. Pretty much the most fantastic thing ever.

Then on Friday night we wandered a little further through town and found a cool looking little wooden house with lots of tasty looking pictures for food. We ended up getting an assorted kabob platter with some REALLY good bbq kabobs...little hot dogs rolled in bacon (pork, not dog, haha), pork belly and green onion, pork and mushroom, beef and green onion, bacon wrapped green chili peppers, and fried shrimp...whole shrimp, with their heads and little beady eyes. We were really amused and stuffed. This place also served a spicy soup with green onion and pork rinds. We liked it a lot actually. We are just keeping with the "try anything once" mindset and it's working out awesomely so far.

Some of the parents have been bringing in foods for the teachers lately, we had some yummy donuts.
